Join us on our mission to get the nation, young and old moving. Do you want to be more active? Are your children missing their usual PE lessons and like keeping themselves fit and healthy? Then look no further, here is the best challenge for you: the Get Active challenge. It has been designed with Primary-aged children in mind and requires little to no equipment for most of the challenges.
Some reasons for getting active include staying fit and healthy. In addition, boosting confidence and self-esteem. Furthermore, children should be doing a minimum of 60 minutes active exercise per day. It is important for children to work on their ball skills, athletic agility and stamina to keep up with active tasks over time. However, this can be tricky when you are stuck indoors but with limited equipment, you can keep yourself active from the comfort of your own home. In other words, YouTube is an incredible source for fun sporting challenges such as the likes of Joe Wicks to keep you moving.
Some of the challenges include:
- Design your own workout or dance routine.
- Challenge yourself to jog on the post for as long as you can.
- Can you do 20 star jumps?
- Practise a football keepy-up whilst doing your times-tables!
